I am a high tech engineer who has dived deep into copywriting, sales and persuasion.

During 24 years in engineering, I completed hair-raising design and analysis of complex systems. Then boiled it down so other engineers and even management got the gist of my work.  I’ve written concise recommendations to management, design documents, requirements specifications and analysis papers.

My former employers include Hughes Aircraft Company, The Aerospace Corporation, and Morgan Stanley.  Performance reviews consistently highlighted my superior technical achievements and outstanding communication skills.

Education includes master’s and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering.  In addition, I have a master’s degree in financial engineering.  (What is financial engineering?  Applying mathematical methods to solve problems in finance.)

How does copywriting enter the picture?

Along the way, I developed a passion for direct marketing.  Key to making it work is great copy. A-list copywriter John Carlton says, “Nothing happens until the copy gets written.”  No websites, ads, email, direct mail … major parts of your revenue pipeline do not exist without copy.

I rolled up my sleeves and got to work learning copywriting and direct marketing.  To get a leg up, I joined American Writers & Artists Inc – Circle of Success.  I have access to all their copywriting courses – over 70 in all.
